komusubi 小結
The fourth rank, the lowest of the named ranks above maegashira.
Komusubi is the fourth rank and the lowest of the named sanyaku ranks, with the numbered maegashira below it. The November 2026 banzuke had two. A komusubi who beats a yokozuna doesn't earn a kinboshi, because that's only for maegashira.
