A toshiyori is an elder of the Japan Sumo Association. In practice that's a retired wrestler who holds one of the 105 elder names. Every stablemaster is an elder, and so is every ringside judge. Elders retire at 65, and since 2014 they've been able to stay on as advisers until 70.
