kyūjō

Absent from a tournament through injury or illness.

What kyūjō means

Kyūjō means a wrestler is absent from a tournament through injury or illness. He can withdraw before it starts or part-way through, and his missed days are marked on the results chart. There's been no injury protection since 2004, so an injured wrestler drops down the banzuke and has to climb back.
