hanazumō 花相撲
Exhibition sumo that doesn't affect rank.
Hanazumō, or flower sumo, is exhibition sumo that doesn't count towards rank. Most of it is held at the Kokugikan. The best known is NHK's charity tournament each February, which mixes bouts with music and comedy.
